The hush-hush 'Ron Hardy' series returns with another must-check instalment (the 59th in total), once more offering up scalpel reworks crafted by the late, great Chicago House pioneer and legendary Music Box resident DJ. Stretched out across side A is 'Downtown', Hardy's tweaked and stretched-out take on a Patrick Adams/Greg Carmaichael-produced NYC disco curio later championed by Theo Parrish. Over on the reverse, 'Discoco' is a tactile, slow-motion chunk of disco-soul bliss, while 'Set The Fire' sees the late, great DJ rearrange and tweak a heavyweight slab of string-laden disco-funk from (we think) the turn of the 1980s.
